Michael’s provides expert measuring and fitting for suits, formalwear, and wedding parties in the Rapid City area.

 

If You’re Out of Town

You do not need to be in Rapid City to get the right fit. If you’re an out-of-town groom, groomsman, or wedding party member, visit a reputable local suit store and ask to be professionally measured for a custom suit.

While you’re there, try on a suit so the measurements can be checked against how a suit actually fits you—especially the pants. Send the completed measurements to Michael’s for your wedding party order.

With thorough measurements, Michael’s can prepare the suit and alterations ahead of time. If final adjustments are needed, you can also stop into Michael’s shortly before the wedding—even a day or two beforehand—to be marked for final alterations.

 

Getting the Wedding Party Measured Together

If your groomsmen or wedding party will all be in town at the same time, such as for a bachelor party, Michael’s can measure the group together. A full group fitting can often be handled in about 30 minutes.

 

In-House Alterations

Alterations are included on new purchases. Already own it? Bring it in. Alterations on clothing not purchased at Michael’s are quoted after inspection.

Common alterations

Dress slacks can be adjusted at the waist and seat, narrowed or widened through the legs, and hemmed with or without cuffs. Dress shirts can be darted, taken in or let out at the sides, shortened at the sleeves, cuffs or plackets, and adjusted for length. Suit jackets can be adjusted through the collar, center seam, sleeves, and sides.
